Skylar L. Primm has more than a decade of teaching experience in student-centered, teacher-powered, project-based schools. Since 2011, he has served as co-lead teacher at
High Marq Environmental Charter School in Montello, Wisconsin, where students in grades 6-12 co-create their curriculum through project-based learning, place-based field experiences, and authentic voice and choice. In 2017 he was honored with a
Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship, and in 2021 he was named the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education
Formal Educator of the Year. He currently serves on the boards of the
Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education and the
Human Restoration Project, and leads the
Wisconsin Teacher-Powered Schools Network.
