Jeff Schommer has been teaching at NWPHS since January of 2019. He earned his Social Studies license from UMD in 2007 and has taught in a variety of district and charter schools, learning a ton along the way, before finding a true match at NWPHS. Previous to embarking on his teaching career, Jeff worked as an urban design consultant, a vegetable farmer, a wildland firefighter, and a nomadic wanderer. Jeff and his wife, Lara, and son, Sid love travel, hiking, biking and just getting out in nature.
