Debra Ives has been with The Walking Classroom for 10 years. During that time, she has overseen the expansion of the program to all 50 states with almost 75,000 WalkKit audio devices distributed, and a new mobile app created in 2020. After working in banking for 15 years, Debra turned her attention to education as a volunteer, a board member, and nonprofit professional working at an afterschool program in Durham and with The Walking Classroom Institute. Debra has a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University, an MBA from George Washington University and an BS degree from Penn State University.
