Bob Herscher was a school board member for 20 years.  He's volunteered at Birchwood school for many years as well as being a math tutor.  He ran a resort off Big Lake Chetac in Birchwood for 30 years and raised 3 boys who all graduated from Birchwood--with many years working the concession stand and keeping the game clock when his boys were in basketball.  This year he is the long term guidance counselor sub while the guidance counselor takes a year off for maternity leave.  He has a CPA background and has been the treasurer of the Foundation for the past 4 years, handling the accounting and tax filing.
