In 2019 we started a Proficiency-Based Education School in Green Bay, Wisconsin for students in grades 7-10 &12. We will be adding additional grades over the next 2 years.  Our school was modeled after The Academy a program for at-risk 12th graders. Over the last 6 years we have helped more than 600 students earn their diploma. Our school is focused on re-engaging learners. Many of our students choose to attend our school because they have not had a positive school experience due to attendance, behavior, life, SEL, or mental health.

N.E.W. is focused on intentionally building positive student and adult relationships. Our foundation is Launch a daily 25 min classroom opportunity for students to have a soft landing spot for the start of school Staff target our students during this time to identify need and create plans of interventions for students.

We have an established relationship with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, in which our students in grades 7-12 take a class weekly on campus taught by college instructors in Business, Trades, Advanced Manufacturing, and Health Science. This next school year we will be piloting a dual credit pathway for our students.
