As the world continues responding to COVID-19's pandemic and related effects, patterns of racism, economic and health care disparities, gaps and gulfs between students and resources, and injustices toward people of color exponentially impact the daily lives of children, adults, families, and communities. These life and death conditions call for review, revision, reflection, and refinement of teaching, learning, and relationship building with students and families to increase realistic, relatable, and reachable outcomes.
