Come learn from a Department of Public Instruction innovator on what others around the state are doing or could be doing to innovate right here in Wisconsin!  This workshop will discuss opportunities to incorporate the DPI Guide Fostering Innovation: Beyond Credits and Seat Time and Toward Innovative Practices that Lead to College and Career Readiness.  Let’s gain an understanding together about the flexibility for districts and charter schools to pursue innovative approaches to high school graduation that already exists throughout Wisconsin law.

WRCCS Competencies:
  • Classroom: Academic Program: Develops/refines well-researched academic programs that match the mission and vision of the charter school and well researched academic program that meets identified student needs. 
  • Leadership: Academic Program: Creates/Defines staffing and programmatic plan that meets IDEA, ESSA, Wisconsin law, and the academic needs of all students
