Equity and Engagement in our new Educational Environment
As we continue to monitor the evolving and seemingly never-ending factors related to the Coronavirus, we have made the decision to hold the 2021 ISN National Conference on Educational Innovation virtually. Initially scheduled for 3 days, we have decided to extend the conference for the ENTIRE WEEK of April 12-16. 2021. The free WRCCS School Development Day will still be on Wednesday, April 14th but held virtually.
Project-based learning transforms the roles of students and teachers in ways that benefit all. One of the biggest hurdles for many teachers new to PBL is the need to give up some degree of control over the classroom, and trust in their students. Giving students ownership over their learning helps students develop a sense of agency as learners and as people. Project-based learning can be messy and complicated. Come learn from the teachers and leaders at Northwest Passage High School who have been successfully implementing PBL for well over a decade.
