This workshop is designed for those new to charter schools in Wisconsin.  The learning here can also be used for those looking for strategies on how to explain the role of charter schools in Wisconsin.  This session will explain what defines a charter school through law and practice.  There will be plenty of opportunity to tackle misconceptions and the overall purpose of charter schools.

  • Authorizer: Mission: Develops/refines authorizer's understanding of legal and philosophical roles and responsibilities 
  • Governance Board: Governance Practice: Ensures/confirms the governance board fully understands its role and responsibilities
